Are you ready to dive into the mechanical depths of Gnomeregan without the fear of a total party wipe? Well here's a Gnomeregan raid guide with a step-by-step plan on avoiding party wipes in Phase 2 Season of Discovery. Learn boss strategies, positioning, and teamwork to conquer this classic WoW dungeon.
- Boss 1: Grubbis and Chomper
- Boss 2: Viscous Fallout
- Boss 3: Crowd Pummeler
- Boss 4: Electrocutioner 6000
- Boss 5: Mechanical Menagerie
- Final Boss: Thermaplugg
↖ Boss 1: Grubbis and Chomper
- Trogg Waves and Green Blobs: Start by killing the trogg waves. Lure them into green blobs so they die faster. Don't let them touch you!
- Tank Roles: Assign one tank to Grubbis and another to Chomper. Make sure Grubbis stays blob-free, while Chomper needs constant interrupts on his Petrify cast.
- DPS Focus: Kill Grubbis first but watch out for troggs chasing healers. Kite if necessary.
- Healers' Watch: Pay attention to tank health incase an interrupt is missed and be ready to dispel anything that gets through.
- Radiation Avoidance: When Grubbis starts casting Radiation get away from where it is going – his backside is dangerous!
↖ Boss 2: Viscous Fallout
- Tank Movement: Keep Fallout moving around so green puddles don't appear as often. Stay away from elemental bracers too or more puddles will spawn.
- DPS Priority: If an ooze spawns, kill it fast with stuns, slows, or roots before it reaches a bracer. After that kill the elemental.
- Healing Strategy: Doable as long as oozes are controlled well enough but removing diseases helps if things get out of hand.
↖ Boss 3: Crowd Pummeler
- One-Tank Fight: Outrange the frontal cone of Pummeler's smash just like you would if you were tanking.
- Gears and Claws: Dodge gears and heal extra if someone is grabbed by the claw.
- Overall Strategy: Stay mobile and dodge things. You're meant to avoid damage here.
↖ Boss 4: Electrocutioner 6000
- Tank Simplicity: Stand still with your back to a wall.
- Static Arc Management: Spread out at max melee range then move in after you get hit once so you don’t get hit again.
- Magnetic Pulse: Distance yourself from the group for a moment if you get targeted.
↖ Boss 5: Mechanical Menagerie
- Simultaneous Kills: All four bosses must die within 20 seconds of each other or they will revive each other.
- Sheep and Squirrel: Interrupt widget volley and avoid Sheep's silence and stun.
- Chicken and Welp: Tanks handle these two, but DPS help on explosive eggs and Deep Breaths too.
- Healer Endurance: Prepare to heal non-stop and use room buttons for mana recovery when possible.
↖ Final Boss: Thermaplugg
- Bomb Disposal Duty: Click buttons at pillar bases to stop bomb production. Ranged DPS, healers, sometimes melee will have to participate depending on your group's setup.
-
Mech Madness:
- Phase 1 (Fire): Tanks swap after furnace charges. Avoid charging tanks.
- Phase 2 (Frost): One tank only; dispel freezing debuffs before they reach 10 stacks.
- Phase 3 (Poison): Remove diseases; interrupt green sprays.
- Phase 4 (All-In-One): Control bombs; kite furnace charges; interrupt sprays; maintain DPS uptime.
Remember adventurers, knowledge is power in Gnomeregan. Stick to these strategies, stay calm in the chaos, and you'll wipe zero times. Good luck, have fun, don't be the problem!
